Good luck with the move! I’m moving across the country this summer so unfortunately I can’t drive back for my clients:-( I hope to fly back at least twice a year though to do a few weekends full of sessions. Yay for new places though!

So close to CreativeLive. I would love to be in their audience and if I lived that close I most definitely would!

Happy Opening Day! | Seattle Photographer

Happy Monday, Everyone! It was a lovely weekend up here in the Pacific Northwest, and I was lucky to spend part of it on the water participating in Opening Day festivities.:)

If you’re not from around here, Opening Day marks the start of the boating season and is hosted by Seattle Yacht Club with a crew race, sailboat race, boat parade, and party. Pariticipants come from all over the Northwest including British Columbia and this event can be traced all the way back to 1895.

The weather this year was just so fantastic and it was great seeing all the boats that dressed up for the “Porthole to Paradise” theme. I really enjoyed seeing such a large turnout and I hope to attend the event next year too.:)

Very pretty image! It’s so funny to think of boat season being Florida, where it is boat season all year. Sounds like really fun festivities!

IN CAMERA Workshop! | Seattle Portrait Photographer

Last Monday, I drove up to Leavenworth for a workshop with some of my favorite wedding photographers, Zach and Jody Gray! Zach and Jody are a very fun husband-and-wife duo who are spreading their knowledge around the country through their INCAMERA Workshops on how to achieve amazing portrait and wedding lighting.:)

I feel very lucky that Zach and Jody happened to hold one of their latest workshops in my area and that I was able to attend the portion on off camera lighting. They broke down their process into just a few steps, which made it so easy to understand and remember how to use strobes in any sort of condition.

Special thanks to our models, Emily and Haley! You ladies are gorgeous and it was so fun working with you! Thank you so much for modeling for all of us workshop attendees!

Below are some of my favorite shots from the workshop:)
