Happy New Year From Seattle! | Seattle Photographer

I’m a little late in writing this, but Happy New Year, Everyone! I hope you’ve had an amazing first week of 2012. My year started out great as I put my new camera, Canon EOS 1D Mark III, to the test at Kerry Park on Queen Anne Hill. My boyfriend and I waited for 2 hours in the freezing cold with a ton of people, but it was completely worth it 🙂

Below are my favorite images from that night…

Ali and AJ Engaged! | Seattle Engagement Photographer

I never thought I’d say this, but it’s been raining too much lately! I’d like to go back to summer where it was warm and the skies were clear except for a few puffy white clouds. Life was great because I’d go shooting outside everyday without worrying about the weather. Well almost every day, we live in the Pacific Northwest so it rains in the summer sometimes 😉

Anyway, let’s go back to the end of August when I met Ali and AJ on the beaches of Pt. Defiance Park in Ruston, WA. It was a beautiful warm evening and I had a great time roaming the beaches with the two of them. Ali and AJ make a gorgeous couple, and you’ll notice as you scan through the images that her ring is pretty amazing too. 🙂

Little Miss. Karli | Seattle Child Photographer

As promised, here is the rest of my session with little Miss. Karli. I was so happy that we were able to sneak in these few shots after her Christmas photos by her family’s tree and their family portraits outside. I just love everything about her, especially her little smile and the funny looks she gave me as she peered into my lens. Karli, you are the cutest and happiest baby I’ve ever seen~! 🙂

[…] Karli. Remember her? Back in 2011, some of my very first blog posts were of Karli. She was just a few months old and absolutely darling. She continues to get cuter and cuter each […]

Karli’s First Christmas | Seattle Family Photographer

Yesterday, I had the privilege of spending the late afternoon with little Miss. Karli. She’s an absolute doll, has the most infectious smile, and is one of the cutest babies I’ve ever seen. Her parent’s wanted some photos by the Christmas tree as well as some family portraits. My favorite shots were from when we bundled little Karli up, braved the cold and headed outside. Karli was a real trooper and entertained us with some funny faces.

Merry First Christmas, Karli! It’s so great to have you in this world 🙂

Best Friends Forever | Seattle Portrait Photographer

I’m so excited to have started the Allyson Photography site and even more excited about this blog portion. Through out the last year, I am lucky to have had many photo opportunities, but I would like to write my first blog post about a session I had with two best friends back in October.

Becky and Romeesa are the closest of friends — you could almost call them sisters — and unfortunately, both of them have moved across the country to different areas since we last met up. I approached this session hoping to capture the tight bond these two ladies have and to show off these two beautiful and amazing women.   I’m so happy to have photographed them while they were still in the same neighborhood, and I had a great time wandering around the Washington State Capital in Olympia, as we laughed and tried to stay warm in the brisk October weather.

Becky and Romeesa, thanks for giving me this opportunity. I wish you the best of luck and hope you enjoy your images…
