Meet Savannah. She is 3 years old and was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on September 3rd, 2012. I recently photographed Savannah for the Gold Hope Project, which is a non-profit organization of photographers around the world dedicated to providing the gift of photography to families who have a child with cancer.
Savannah is currently undergoing treatment, and her beaded necklace which you will see at the end of this post, has a bead for every different type of procedure she has gone through since September of last year. Even though Savannah has gone through an immense amount of treatment, she is full of energy and one happy little girl. Savannah is an inspiration to us all, and I love that she refuses to let cancer slow her down.
Leave Savannah a note of encouragement in the comment section below, and make sure to follow Savannah’s Facebook Page so you can cheer her on as she battles leukemia. If you know a child who has fought or is currently fighting cancer, contact The Gold Hope Project today.
