Seattle Creative Couples Photographer | Silhouettes

One of my favorite things about being an on-location photographer, is that every now and then I get a chance to turn a scene into a silhouette. If you’re unfamiliar with the term “silhouette” in photography, it’s basically a dark shape of someone or something against a lighter background.

When it comes to editing a silhouette, I often turn it into a black and white photo and do my best to bring out the contrast in the background and sky. I find that this processsing makes for gorgeous wall art, and I just love surprising my clients with a creative silhouette from their session since most of the time it’s not something they’ve expected. 🙂

I love a good silhouette! These are beautiful. The black and white is cool. Silhouettes are one of my fav images to take too, and clients really love them!

You are so creative Ally! I think it’s great that you explain your process of editing. It helps appriciate the photo even more. :] It is also very apparent that you put a lot of effort into capturing the image from different angles. Once again, bravo!
